| Our first night was spent in Sun Springs RV park on the San Francisco River in Western NM. We discovered a leak in the rv vent over the bed (RV dealer didn't seal it right) so Liz slept wrapped up in the plastic sheet. I got duct tape the next day for it and replaced the whole unit when we got home.

| On the way up the canyon at Clifton AZ to look for agate, we spotted these two mountain goats on the side of the canyon.
This spot, along with many others is picked out of easy agate, and one would need a rope harness to go over the canyon side to get much good stuff. Since nobody was willing to haul my fat ass back up the canyon side we went on over to NM and the green mountains.

| After looking around Luna NM failing to find many stones, we drove up 13 miles of rough dirt road to another site marked in the book. It was a beautiful campground in the high pines, but the ten year old gem trails book showed trails and stream beds that are no longer there so I found nothing. Since it was still early, we decided to go to Safford AZ and spend our first night without Facilities at the Black Hills Rockhound Park. It was a beautiful spot, and we were the only ones there. With the generator available, we were able to make breakfast coffee, toas and microwave oatmeal and Katie's food with no problem.
